SKEWER MOUNT FATDAPTER® INSTALLATION

  • Remove the front wheel of your bicycle.

  • Install bicycle onto rack and insert fork onto FATDAPTER® axle.

  • Adjust the swivel nut and clamp the Axle Release™ lever so it latches over-center with adequate force to retain tension. Avoid excessive force, no additional tools or pounding force is required to latch device. Confirm FATDAPTER® skewer is fully seated into recessed safety faces on both sides of bicycle fork.

  • If the FATDAPTER® is not in a general upright position and near parallel with fork, loosen both clamping devices and re-position.

  • Confirm you have purchased the correct bushing set for your fork and insert the bushings into the FATDAPTER® housing. Additional bushing sets are available at www.fatdapter.com

  • Remove your thru axle and wheel. Slide the fork over the FATDAPTER® with bushings installed and insert thru axle.

  • Tighten the retaining bolt on your axle to manufacturer specifications while assuring the FATDAPTER® is parallel with the fork. THE FATDAPTER® SHOULD BE VERY SNUG AND ALIGNED WITH YOUR FORK.
